GAMAO — Global Association of Martial Arts Organizations

This is professionally structured template language and not a substitute for legal advice. GAMAO will have these pages reviewed by qualified counsel before formal launch.

1. Membership & certification

Membership and certification are granted at GAMAO’s discretion based on review of your application, documentation, and demonstrated competence against GAMAO standards. Membership is personal to the holder and non-transferable.

2. Credential validity

GAMAO credentials remain valid while membership is current and the holder remains in good standing. GAMAO may suspend or revoke a credential for breach of these terms, the GAMAO code of ethics, falsified documentation, or conduct that endangers students or damages the organization’s integrity. Recognition of prior rank is granted only after review and may be conditional.

3. Fees & renewals

Membership and certification fees are as published, subject to Solidarity Pricing tiers. Fees are billed in USD unless otherwise stated. Memberships are annual and require renewal to remain active.

4. Refund policy

Membership and certification fees are non-refundable once credential review or testing has begun. A refund of unused membership may be offered within a defined window of purchase before services are rendered. Seminar fees follow the cancellation terms stated at registration.

5. Revenue-share model

Affiliated instructors operate under GAMAO’s progressive revenue-share model on GAMAO-specific products only; instructors retain 100% of income from teaching their own local students. Specific commercial terms are set out in the affiliation agreement.

6. Intellectual property

The GAMAO name, logos, marks, curriculum, methodology, and site content are the property of GAMAO and may be used only by members in good standing within GAMAO brand guidelines. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or misrepresentation of GAMAO affiliation is prohibited and may result in revocation and legal action.

7. Conduct & ethics

Members must adhere to the GAMAO code of ethics, teach responsibly, prioritize student safety, and not bring the organization into disrepute.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and services are provided “as is.” See the Disclaimer page regarding martial arts training risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GAMAO is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site, membership, or training conducted by members.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which GAMAO is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Changes

GAMAO may update these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance. Contact: [email protected].
